Mile Wide Beer Co. came to me looking for a can design that felt bright, playful, and unmistakably summery for their Brabble American Blonde Ale. The goal was to create something that would stand out on shelves while capturing that carefree, poolside energy you associate with warm weather and easy drinking.
We developed a retro-inspired illustration style centered around a bold, stylized swimmer figure. The character brings personality and movement to the can, while the limited color palette keeps everything cohesive and highly recognizable from a distance. I paired this with a custom repeating pattern that adds texture and depth without overwhelming the main illustration.
The composition wraps seamlessly across the can, balancing brand elements, required labeling, and visual storytelling. I used color blocking to guide the eye from the logo and beer name down through the illustration, ensuring strong hierarchy and readability at every angle.
